Suicide Awareness and Prevention

Too many lives have been lost to the tragedy of suicide. Join me in the fight to raise awareness and save lives.

I hope that this page can make some difference.

I'm speaking as someone who has been there and also as someone who has lost friends to suicide. There is hope even though you may not see it.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline

This is an excellent resource if you need a place to turn, but aren't sure who to talk to.  Sometimes, it helps to get someone who isn't close to the situation to bring you back from the dark place you're in.

It's also important to recognize the warning signs.

(These symptoms were taken from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline)

Suicide doesn't only take lives, it leaves them behind as well.

I found Survivors of Suicide to be a helpful network of those who are going through the same things you are going

through. Suicide is much different than any other kind of death.  A life is taken too soon and we are left to wonder

why.  Sometimes, we feel guilty.  We feel sad, angry and confused.  Having someone to talk to helps.  There will always

be questions, "Why did they do it?" "Was there anything I could have done?" "Why didn't I see it?", that we'll never

have the answers to.

If this page saves one life, then one precious gift has been saved. If you are feeling suicidal, I urge you to seek help.

If you aren't comfortable talking to family and friends, then the website above has a hotline for you to call.  Stop and

think about what you are doing.  Not only are you taking a life, you are causing your loved ones pain and suffering.

Nothing is so horrible that it needs to end in suicide.  There is always hope. The light at the end of the tunnel may

seem dim and far away, but it is there.
